Last Updated: June 29, 2026 · Effective Date: June 29, 2026
Puzzle Dreams ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Opiac Lab. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application Puzzle Dreams ("App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Table of Contents
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- •Account information: If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers. This information is used to create your profile and sync your progress.
- •Username: You may create a display name (username) within the App. This name may be visible to other users on leaderboards.
- •Guest use: You may use the App without signing in. In this case, an anonymous session is created and your progress is stored locally and on our servers under a temporary identifier.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- •Device information: Device type, model, operating system version, language setting, and time zone.
- •Unique device identifiers: AdMob's SDK may access your device's Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) as part of its standard infrastructure. However, the App is configured to request non-personalized ads only — this identifier is not used by us for targeted advertising or profiling.
- •App usage data: Puzzle progress, completion times, joker usage, star ratings, and in-game scores.
- •Leaderboard data: Your username and score may appear on weekly and all-time public leaderboards visible to other users of the App.
- •Push notification token: If you grant permission, we collect a device token to send you optional push notifications about new puzzles, updates, and features.
- •In-app purchase history: Records of any subscriptions or one-time purchases you make within the App, managed through RevenueCat using an anonymous identifier separate from your Firebase account.
- •Error logs: Technical error information (e.g., failed network requests) recorded locally and used to diagnose and fix issues within the App.
1.3 Information Collected by Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each operates according to its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Serving advertisements | policies.google.com/privacy |
| RevenueCat | Subscription & purchase management | revenuecat.com/privacy |
| Firebase (Google) | Auth, database, push notifications, remote config | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Sign-In | Social authentication | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Apple Sign-In | Social authentication | apple.com/legal/privacy |
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- •Run the App: Save and sync your puzzle progress across devices and sessions.
- •Display leaderboards: Show your username and score in weekly and all-time rankings.
- •Push notifications: Send optional notifications about new puzzles and features (you can disable these at any time in your device settings).
- •In-app purchases: Process and verify subscriptions and one-time purchases, and restore prior purchases.
- •Serve advertisements: Display non-personalized ads to users who have not purchased a premium subscription, powered by Google AdMob.
- •Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns, diagnose bugs, and improve overall performance and user experience.
- •Account migration: Transfer guest progress to a signed-in account when you choose to link your profile.
- •Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
3. Advertising
For users who have not purchased a premium subscription, the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
- •Non-personalized ads only: The App is configured to request only non-personalized advertisements. We do not use your Advertising ID for ad targeting, and we do not track your behavior across other apps or services for advertising purposes.
- •Contextual ads: Ads may be selected based on the content of the App and general, non-identifying factors such as approximate region derived from your IP address by Google.
- •Premium subscribers (monthly, annual, or lifetime) will not see any advertisements.
AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers optional premium access ("Puzzle Dreams Premium") with the following purchase options:
| Plan | Type | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | Subscription | Renews automatically each month |
| Annual | Subscription | Renews automatically each year |
| Lifetime | One-time purchase | Single payment, no renewals |
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store on iOS and the Google Play Store on Android. Premium features include: no advertisements, unlimited jokers/hints, and future premium content.
Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions
- •iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, select Puzzle Dreams, and tap Cancel Subscription.
- •Android: Open the Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, select Puzzle Dreams, and tap Cancel subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not store your payment card information — all billing is handled by Apple or Google.
Refunds
Refund requests must be submitted to Apple or Google, as applicable. We do not process refunds directly. Where required by law, you may be entitled to a refund.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- •Service providers: We share data with Google (AdMob, Firebase), RevenueCat, and Apple solely to operate the App's features as described in this policy.
- •Leaderboards: Your username and puzzle score may be visible to other users within the App.
- •Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority.
- •Protection of rights: We may share information to protect the legal rights, property, or safety of Opiac Lab, our users, or others.
- •Business transfers: If Opiac Lab is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via the App or email if such a change occurs.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States and potentially other regions where Google Cloud operates. Firebase employs industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- •Firestore Security Rules that restrict access so users can only access their own private data, except for public leaderboard entries such as usernames and scores.
- •Authenticated access only — leaderboard and puzzle data require a valid session.
- •Minimal permissions — we only request the device permissions necessary to operate the App (push notifications). We do not request access to your location, contacts, camera, or microphone.
No method of digital storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device protected with a passcode.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services.
- •Signed-in accounts: Data is retained until you request deletion.
- •Anonymous sessions: Data is retained until you sign in and link your account, or until the anonymous session expires (typically after prolonged inactivity).
- •Deleted accounts: Upon a verified deletion request, we will delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- •If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App without your consent, please contact us at opiaclab@icloud.com and we will promptly delete the relevant data.
- •Users between the ages of 13 and 17 should use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
